Strictly speaking not much less calculation intensive, but it was possible to start with some simple approximations and then to add perturbations, as much as needed to reach the wanted accuracy.

In this research study, the parameters such as solar irradiation, soil moisture content, availability of electrical load, etc. has been extensively taken studied for proper control. The irrigation system also uses a storage battery for storing and retrieving the energy available from the PV module and for supplying loads during lean periods or during the night time. An economic analysis for the scaled-up system is also performed to study practical setup of such a system. For the economic study, the system is considered to be set up in a remote onshore area in West Bengal, India near the eastern coastal region. Appropriate simulations backed by experimental studies on a laboratory-based model validate the proposed techno-economic study.
